We are Jorge and Esperanza Azcárraga. We had the opportunity of sending our son Jorge to study in Canada, when he was just 13 years of age.
It was very difficult to be away from him for a school year, yet he lived one of the best experiences in his life. Jorge perfected his knowledge of the English language, got to know a wonderful country, and made friends with whom, still today, is in contact.
As parents, we always had the assistance of Prof. James R. Portoraro; he gave counsel and advice to our son, but more as a father than as a guardian. Jorge returned to México a more mature and responsible young man.
We would not hesitate to repeat this experience, for it made us grow as a family. It also gave us the opportunity to meet Prof. Portoraro, whom we now consider a friend. Without a doubt, we would leave again our son in his hands to complete his education, not only as a student, but also as a person. This experience is one of the best legacies that one can bestow upon a son or daughter. They will become better people; they will be better prepared for the future; they will be open-minded.

Somos Jorge y Esperanza Azcárraga. Tuvimos la oportunidad de que nuestro hijo Jorge, de 13 años, fuese a estudiar a Canadá.
A pesar de lo difícil que fue vernos alejados de él por un año escolar, nuestro hijo vivió una de las mejores experiencias de su vida. Perfeccionó su inglés; conoció un maravilloso país y estableció amistades que aun siguen al dia de hoy.
Como padres, siempre contamos con la asesoría y apoyo del Prof. James R. Portoraro, el cual le aconsejó y guió más como un padre, en lugar de solamente ser su tutor. Jorge regresó a México maduro y responsable.
No dudariamos en repetir esta experiencia, pues nos hizo crecer como familia y nos dió la oportunidad de conocer a quién ahora consideramos como amigo, el Prof. Portoraro, con el cual, sin duda alguna, dejaríamos de nuevo en sus manos a nuestro hijo para completar su formación, no solo como estudiante, si no como persona tambien. Esta experiencia es uno de los mejores legados se le puede otorgar a un hijo para que se conviertan en mejores personas, con mas preparación para el futuro y con una mente abierta.
